Dog put in hot car to die on purpose
News

ATLANTA -- It was not an accident. That's what police are saying after a dog was found dead inside a hot car. Now they are asking for help finding the person who would have purposely put the dog in the car to die.

Police have two persons of interest they would like to talk to about the death of the Pitbull named Blue. They only know the two persons by the names Sheila and Bree.

Police say Blue
'
s owner, Marlon Crutcher, left his dog tied up to his porch railing outside his apartment on Mayson Turner Road when he left for work on the morning of June 17, 2015.

Police say when Crutcher returned home that night, Blue was no longer tied to the railing. He found him inside an abandoned car parked outside his apartment. The dog was dead inside the car with all the windows rolled up.

"
The dog was deceased,
"
said Sgt. Greg Lyon.
"
It had been well over 90-degrees that day, so sometime when he was away at work, or gone for the day, someone had taken his dog, put him inside this car, rolled the windows up and secured the vehicle.
"

Police say whoever did it, did it on purpose and they have enlisted the help of Crime Stoppers, who is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest.

The best lead police have are two persons of interest they want to talk to, Sheila and Bree. They hope they can tell them more about who wanted Blue to die in such a painful way.

"
Personally it makes me sick,
"
Sgt. Lyon said.
"
I'm a dog lover and I can't imagine ever doing that to another animal.
"

Anyone with information about what happened or knows who Sheila and Bree are, should call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
