Lockdown lifted at M. Agnes Jones Elementary | News
ATLANTA – Police say M. Agnes Elementary School in southwest Atlanta was briefly placed on lockdown Monday.
According to Atlanta Public Schools, the lockdown happened after an unspecified disturbance near the school.
Most of the students had already been dismissed when the lockdown occurred.
Police secured the building and the lockdown was lifted at 3:08 p.m.
According to police, a handgun and magazine were recovered and a suspect was taken into custody in connection with the disturbance.
